Nojito Recipe
To help toast the happy couple, we wanted to share this kid-friendly mocktail recipe provided by Sharon from The Hunter Public House.
Ingredients
- 1 oz of fresh lime juice
- 1 oz of simple syrup *
- 6 -10 mint leaves
- Wedge of lime
- Bottle of Topo Chico (or some other brand of sparkling mineral water)
- Grenadine (optional)
Directions
In a pint glass or cocktail shaker, muddle mint leaves with simple syrup. Add a little ice and fresh lime juice, pour into highball glass and add more ice, top off with sparkling water. Garnish with a lime wedge. You can add a splash of grenadine for a Cherry Nojito.
For the adult mojito version, add 1.5 oz of white rum after adding the lime juice.

* Simple syrup recipe:
Equal parts sugar and hot water and stir till dissolve. If you make too much and want it to last add a touch of vodka to preserve it.
